Ready to bring your data into DealerPoint? Here’s how to do it if you’re on the BASIC plan:
- Prepare Your Data: First, export your data from your current DMS. If you need help with this step, check out our guides on exporting data.
- Access Settings: Click on your user profile image located in the top right corner to open the dropdown menu. Then, select “My data.”
- Start the Upload Wizard: Look for the “Open Upload Wizard” button and give it a click.
- Select Your CSV: Choose the DMS system you exported your data from (e.g., LightSpeed), and then click inside the box labeled “Select a CSV to upload” to choose your CSV file.
- Initiate the Import: Once you’ve selected your file, hit the “Import File” button.
That’s it! Your file will start importing.
If it’s a large file, it might take a bit of time. But don’t worry – you can navigate away from the page, and the import will continue running in the background without interruption.
Once the import is complete, you’ll get a summary of what’s been imported or any errors that need your attention.
